Missions

  • Assessment of levels and trends of chemical contamination of the marine environment, including heavy metals, and organochlorine and polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) pesticides,
  • Monitoring of classified shellfish growing areas
  • Conducting studies necessary for the health classification of new shellfish production areas;
  • Development of research programs for understanding chemical pollution mechanisms and causes.

Laboratoy's activities

  • Analysis of metallic contaminants Cd, Pb, Hg .... in marine organisms and sediment
  • Analysis of organochlorine pesticides and PCBs in marine organisms and sediment
  • Analysis of physical and chemical parameters in seawater
